You don’t need tons of money bundled in your bank account, or a surfeit of loyal employees to be powerful.

Heck, you don’t even need a top, uncontested position in the social hierarchy.

And while all these aforementioned things offer much in the way of building up the muscles of power, there’s an easy way out of making yourself a lot more powerful as time goes by.

Have a scoop at these 3 free, yet highly effective power-building resources:

  1. Your Time

As the adage goes, time is money. Practically speaking, time offers a chance to learn more skills, grow and make more money to become more powerful.

Along these lines, time is incredibly important. The clock ticks mercilessly, and every single moment fizzles away, never to be accessed again. Even now, a few seconds are gone, and you’ll never have an opportunity to take advantage of them again.

But… don’t falter and hopelessly regret wasting your time on meaningless things. At least, you made such bad choices before then since you probably lacked reasonable wisdom and willpower to make things right.

Now, not yesterday or tomorrow can make all the difference. Your decision to read this piece means that you’re looking for better ways of improving yourself and making yourself powerful.

Some of the greatest, self-made people in the world were once at rock bottom, but their time management techniques made all the difference and plunged them to top-notch success.

The best weapon you can wield against your wasted months, years, or days is making a firm resolve to wisely invest in the available time. Some studies say that it takes over 10,000 hours to master a new skill.

So, instead of wasting your time crying over wasted time, you can choose to invest in your craft, whether it’s in business or career to ramp up your power.

2. Your Energy

While time is a highly important tool in the pursuit of power, there’s much more to it. Your energy, focus, and intensity matter a great deal as well.

We live in a hyperactive society that glorifies overworking, and people wear burdening and stressful responsibilities as badges of honor.

Imagine working on a project for 14 hours straight, but you still want to continue because you feel you haven’t done enough.

But what if I told you that if you have enough rest, there’s a good chance that you’ll probably spend an hour on a 3-hour task.

In fact, some studies in America show that short workday naps hugely increase employee productivity. Arianna Huffington, an influential personality in the United States is a testament to this.

She was an avid believer of the overworking hype, till she once collapsed and hurt her cheekbone. That horrible incident was her game-changer. Since then, she resolved to make things better going forward.

She decided to sleep for at least 7 hours and dedicated the remaining time to work. Shockingly, her turnaround has been phenomenal. She even wrote a book entitled, The Sleep Revolution to justify her arguments.

Whether you’re an early bird or a night owl, remember that you need high-level energy to keep things going smoothly, develop and become more powerful. This is synonymous with working smart. I bet some of the top leaders and businessmen work smart all the way to the top.

That said, managing your energy in a shrewd manner is a great tactic to use.

3. Your Mind

Your mind is the controller of your body, and progressively ¬ your destiny.

Consider some great sportsmen like Michael Jordan, highly acclaimed leaders such as Barrack Obama, and indomitable entrepreneurs including Elon Musk.

They all have one thing in common great minds. Does that mean that they’ve been blessed, or gifted above everyone else? Well, nothing couldn’t be further from the truth.

The great people spent most of their time reading or investing in meaningful things. For instance, Michael Jordan trained for 5 hours a day to become the best player. Also, he’d still go ahead and play during the day. Granted, he is gifted, but he had to put in tremendous amounts of work to incontestably rise.

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs

But if you’re trying to grow, you don’t need to achieve great feats. You can start out small, and build things up as you go along. Read 10 pages of a book that will develop your career, learn a new skill today, or exercise just for 15 minutes for a start. Once you set things in motion, things will get easier going forward.

Enjoy More Power

Sure, power is great. But it works best if used the right way. And the best part is — it’s reachable. You just have to start off with a firm commitment to progressively grow, and you’ll stupendously rise. Before you know it, you’ll become more powerful as time goes by.
